“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
Proverbs 4:23 NLT

The heart is necessary for life. If every other body part works perfectly, but the heart stops, the other parts will die. The heart is an amazing piece of work. Every other organ and tissue needs the heart to pump blood to them. The heart causes a flow of blood to be transported to them by supply and demand. The heart works to help the brain function. The brain routes the blood to the other body parts. The heart has time for rest. It can’t stay at a fast pace for too long. It must have time to recover. It is important to guard your spiritual heart. It needs rest. Our course will be off the path God has for us without rest. Our head ( brain) is Jesus.

“He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.”
Psalms 23:2 NLT

Our course should lead us beside the peaceful streams to provide rest.
Everything created resets. The land should even rest every seven years. There should be nothing planted. Adam was taken from the land. He was allowed to rest on the sabbath. When we are not able to rest, it creates anxiety. This anxiety makes our hearts beat fast. As a result, we do not get blood as fast to our body organs. It affects us spiritually. We can be sluggish. We miss some things in the spirit. The rest gives us a greater discernment. We should allow your body to reset after the rest. When the coming of the sabbath, we will be refreshed and ready for the next journey.
