The Tabernacle of God Is Always With Us! I’m Covered By His Love.

By October 24, 2021 No Comments

When Tashonda Robinson invited me to preach on her Facebook page, cover girls, God first gave me this word. Our Heavenly Father is so phenomenal in amazing. He is our Abba and the God of a second chance. Why do I say this? Because throughout each generation, He’s been striving to get the children of Israel back into the right relationship with Him.

In the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve is where sin first begins because they sinned against God.

Deuteronomy 9:27 says, “Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:”

So let me explain how the children of Israel and the tabernacle came about. To paraphrase Genesis 37:5, 28, Joseph shares his dream with his family. There was already tension between him and his brothers because their father made him a coat of many colors. And they hated him even the more. Why? Because he was his father’s favorite son with a dream and with a vision that he never asked for. There was a jealous spirit that had grown between his brothers and they had plotted to kill him. They thought about putting him in a ditch. Instead, they chose to sell him into slavery for 20 pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites.

It’s so important not to share your dreams or visions with everybody because they may not be for you. It could be family, friends, or coworkers. Joseph’s dysfunctional family was full of strife, envy, and deception. The favor of God fell upon Joseph, and he was placed in a predicament where he had to prophesy to the King of Egypt.

With a strong hand, and with a stretched-out Arm; for his mercy endures forever (Psalms 136:12 KJV).

When Joseph came into a bad situation, God favored and covered him with His love. He was able to dwell among the Kings and Queens. He became a valuable aspect for the Egyptians and after his death, there was another king of Egypt that did not know prophet Joseph and his people, the Israelites. And the children of Israel became Egyptian slaves until God raised up a Moses to set the people free.

Deuteronomy 18:15 says: The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of the brethren, like unto me until him he shall hearken.

God speaks to Moses and tells him to build a tabernacle. God shows Moses the blueprint of the details he is to follow.

This building was not like any other tabernacle that was ever made because it was the very place of the presence of God.

Behold, I stand at the door come in knock: if any man hears my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and Will Sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20 KJV).

Ephesians 3:17 says: that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

God covers us by His love, and He wishes above all things that none of us should perish and continue to sin against Him.

God tells Moses to go and speak unto the children of Israel to bring him an offering: every man that brings Him willingly.

Exodus 25:3-9 says, “Down give the details of the building of the tabernacle and this is the offering which he shall take of the gold, silver and brass first four blue, in purple, and scarlet, in fine linen, and goats hair. 5 And Rams skin dyed red, and badgers’ skin, and shittim wood, 6 Oils for the light, spices for anointing oil, and sweet incense. 7 Onyx stones, installs to be set and the ephod, and in the breastplate. 8 That I May dwell among them. 9 according to all that I should be after the patterns of the tabernacle, and the patterns of all the instruments thereof, even so shall you make it.”

Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness and the wilderness, as he has appointed, speaking unto Moses that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen (Acts 7:44 KJV).

Jesus Christ is the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man. The tabernacle made by Moses was to be a duplicate of our Lord and Savior. We were created to dwell in His love, will, and presence.

Isaiah 60:1 says, “Arise, shine, for the light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon thee.”

His word is a lamp unto the feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105).

Since the fall of man, God has been trying to get man to dwell in His presence. When God created us, he wanted us to be little gods, His Rauch- Elohim, His Breath, His wind, and His Spirit.

The tent was about 150 feet long and 75 feet high. There were 20 pillars on the North and Southside. Six pillars connected the brim of the tent and there were a total of 8 pillars round about the outside of the tent where there was one gate that you entered in. On the outside of the tent, not the Inner court, you had different tribes that covered the North, South, East, And West, such as Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Simeon, Dan, Gad, Ephraim, Naphtali, Benjamin, Asher, and Manasseh. Each tribe was gathered. While the Levites were not considered a tribe, they were the priests and were only allowed to come through the gates of the inner courts.

Be lifted you everlasting doors and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? He is the Lord God, strong and mighty. He is mighty in battle. He is the Lord of hosts.

Psalm 24:1-9 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”

Psalm 100:1-5

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

You had to be CLEANSED before entering the house of the Lord. You could not go before God any way.

Exodus 30:17-33

17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. 19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: 20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the Lord: 21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.22 Moreover the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,24 And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: 25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. 26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

In Exodus 25:31-32, Aaron’s sons, the priests, sacrificed daily according to the mosaic law. After washing their hands and feet, they would enter only into the holiness. This room had three items: the table of showbread, the golden candlestick, and the table of burning golden altar of incense.

The next room was known as the holy of holiness. Only the high priest was allowed to enter once a year on the Day of Atonement, Yum kipper. This was serious business. If that high priest was found unclean, he would die.

There were decorations on the curtains in the outer courts. The instruments in the outer court were the brazen altar and the basin pan for washing your hands and feet. And then we had the holy place in which the curtains had cherubism designs and each color and layer represented the glory of God. The priest had certain garments that matched the curtains that covered the holy place and the holy of holiness. Sapphire is a light blue stone that gave off a radiant color

Ezekiel 1:26 says, “And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.”

The color purple represents royalty. The scarlet color is the Blood of Jesus that covers man. Throughout the making of the tabernacle, numbers were written on the depth, width, and height of the candlesticks, 12 loaves of bread, and four horns. We see numbers differently than the Hebrews because every number symbolizes an alphabet or a picture on the Jewish calendar.

The high priests’ and priests’ garments were so unique and different from each other. For instance, the priest would wear white linen with a red, blue, or purple belt. The High priest’s clothing had the twelve tribes of Israel written on the shoulder. They wore a breastplate that carried the stones inside. This was God’s way of showing He is connected to His people. Therefore God tells us to put on the breastplate of righteousness and the helmet of salvation.

Ephesians 6:10-17 says, “10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”

A veil separated the holy place from the Holy of Holiness. A golden table stood in front of the veil, which was used to burn incense. Also, there were seven golden candlesticks with beautiful almond-shaped designs.

Behind the veil stood the holy of holiness. There was no furniture in the room except the ark of the covenant. There was no light inside. On top of the ark of the covenant, cherubims faced each other. The high priest sprinkled seven drops of animal blood on the mercy seat. Aaron’s rod that produced almond seeds when it budded and the ten commandments that God gave Moses upon the mountains were inside the ark of the covenant.

Numbers 17:1-5 says, “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man’s name upon his rod. 3 And thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers. 4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. 5 And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.”

Inside of the holy of Holiness, there was no light. The only light that would appear is when the high priest would get before the Lord and pray. God’s presence would show up in a cloud by day and fire by night.

The purpose of the priesthood is to teach us how to stay in right standing with God. There was no mediator for the sins of men to a holy God. Moses and the high priest went before the Lord. Jesus said to God, “Send me. I will stand in the gap.” By the shedding of His blood, Jesus Christ did what no animals sacrificing of their blood could do.

Romans 8:3 (NIV) says, “For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering and so he could dim sin in the flesh.”

John 1:17 says, “For what the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

As believers in Christ, when we confess and believe in our hearts, we are saved. We are no longer under the Mosaic law because Jesus shed His blood on the cross at Calvary.

Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Jesus Christ became the great high priest who took away the sins of man. We are purged and sanctified by his blood. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He stands as our mediator. When we come unto him labored and heavy laden, he will give us rest.

Matthew 11:28-29 (NIV) says, “28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

The Tabernacle of God is Always with Us!

We as believers are not obligated to the law of Moses with the keeping of the religious rituals. We don’t have to wait for the high priest to sacrifice animals or make atonement once a year. That was done away by the blood and the shedding of Jesus on the cross at Calvary. Jesus went on the cross one time and He took away the sins of our past, present, and future.  The law of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:1- 17 is a cross-reference to Galatians 5:1-21. Apostle Paul tells us to put away all corruption.

“For we are now under a greater covenant that’s not made by the hands of man but by the blood of Jesus Christ.”

Exodus 20:1-21

1 And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Galatian 5:14-21KJV  14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

We cannot rely on ourselves to help break this sinful nature. We need the help of Christ Jesus, for it is Him that gives us the grace and mercy to overcome.

Colossians 3:13-15 says, “13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body: and be ye thankful.”

We are His workmanship. We are created to bring fame to His name and glory to His heart. The Book of Revelation reveals the new heaven and the new earth. Trust and believe that every time we go to Him in prayer and supplication, He hears us and answers according to His will. We can go to Jesus Christ as often as we desire. Just love on Him because there’s no tabernacle was not made with the hands of man but it is made by the glory of God. He covers us, and His grace is so sufficient.

Revelation 21:1-4 says, “1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

John 6:32-35 says, “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

Romans 8:26 says, “Our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Hebrews 7:25 says, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

Jesus is constantly interceding for us. Why? Because the Tabernacle of God is with us, and He covers us by His love. May the power of God continue to bless and keep you. May you multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion.
